Molly is a native of Pennsylvania. She was born and raised in Pennsylvania and began her professional career in Philadelphia at Prince Music Theater at 13 years old. She was in The Snow Queen. She was then nominated as one of the Barrymore Award nominee for her part as Little Red Ridinghood at the Arden Theater's production Into the Woods. The actress reprised her role as Little Red Ridinghood when she made her Broadway debut at 15 in Into the Woods on Broadway in 2002. In the same year, she was nominated for an Drama League Award. Molly was in the Broadway revival Fiddler on the Roof (2004). Then she attended Princeton University where she was part of the Triangle Club and graduated in 2008 with an B.A. in Religion. When she was in the university, Molly made her acting debut with Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. Molly's acting career continued after her graduation with several Off Broadway plays, among them End Days by Ensemble Studio Theater. Molly also worked on television in Royal Pains as well as the HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly has appeared in regional productions like The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as part of Barrington the Stage Company and the North Shore Music Theatre's production of 2008 and the Westport Country Playhouse 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank where she played Anne. Molly is well-known for playing Ali, a teenage daughter, in Paranormal Activity 2, a film that was released in 2010.
